While in Seattle last week, I took a tour boat to Tillicum Village for a salmon dinner and native american entertainment. As we returned about 10 pm, I stood in the bow of the boat trying to get some images of the Seattle skyline. There were constant waves rocking the boat around, so I just put on my 135mm L set the camera on manual with a f/2 aperture and 1/60 sec at ISO 3200. There is plenty of motion blur in this image, but its the best of several. I should have tried it from one of the big super ferries like the one in the foreground. They rock, but much more slowly than the small tour boat.
There was a lot of haze, so distant landscapes were difficult. The haze dispersed after dark.
