The name "Laowa" means "old frog" in Chinese. I guess that's where the frog eye came from.

If the overlay of the lens image and the lens elements plan is close to accurate, it's a strangely-wide lens form factor. The barrel appears to be roughly 3x the girth of the widest lens element. Perhaps that lens element illustration is "exploded" for clarity?

If you look at the front page picture, the front lens seems indeed to be that small, compared to the outer dimensions of the barrel. So, it must be in scale...
I wonder about the vignetting characteristics.
