I don't understand this mysterious message. Is it coded?
It is really confusing! I mean, the lens mount is highlighted in red, and it says U.S. So I think it means that Canon is #1 in lens mount sales in UzbekiStan.I don't understand this mysterious message. Is it coded?
What can it possibly mean? Is it about tripods or strobes?
Thanks, now I understand it's about DR of Sony cameras used in North West Uzbekistan! It is really confusing! I mean, the lens mount is highlighted in red, and it says U.S. So I think it means that Canon is #1 in lens mount sales in UzbekiStan.
Now now, no reason to get sassy. I read the article (with my reading glasses on) and I didn't see anything about interchangeable lenses.I guess reading is too much trouble. Or maybe you need glasses to make out the fine print.

Yes, Canon beat out all of the cellphone brands that are called ‘mirrorless cameras’. They also beat out all the car brands that are called mirrorless cameras, and all the kitchen sink brands that are called mirrorless cameras. The reality is that most folks use kitchen sinks to wash their produce. Now now, no reason to get sassy. I read the article (with my reading glasses on) and I didn't see anything about interchangeable lenses.
The reality is is that most folks use a cellphone to capture the moment.
Aren't brands what ranchers burn their marks on cattle with so the hero sheriff knows they don't belong to the villans?Yes, Canon beat out all of the cellphone brands that are called ‘mirrorless cameras’. So you're saying canon is the number 1 cattle farmer in the US?Aren't brands what ranchers burn their marks on cattle with so the hero sheriff knows they don't belong to the villans?
Well, my eyes aren't what they used to be but I don't think that I could ever see 12,000kms to Los Angeles... let alone the rest of the US. Although Hawaii would be a little closer. No need. Use your own eyes. 90% of any brans of camera seen in the USA wears a Canon badge. Period. Go to any sporting event. 99.9% of every camera is Canon
It must be because according to the @Michael Clark rule, they use 85% lean meat.So you're saying canon is the number 1 cattle farmer in the US?
I knew I didn't have to read the article. People in the forum will explain it for me. Thanks guys
I was surprised to see so many Canon shooters drool over the Z 8 and Nikon lenses and not make the switch.I'm interested to see how many pros wind up shifting over time to Nikon for supertelephoto work. The price difference between Nikon vs Canon lenses (and the telecoverterization of the new Canon models) may or may not have a positive impact for Nikon. The high megapixel flagship also could help among certain audiences.
This wouldn't have any significant effect on unit sales, of course.
Me too but so many folks keep claiming that no one buys those anymore.I'd venture to say they are #1 in sales due to the cheapest of the offerings (i.e. R100, R10, R50, R8).
Not surprising. If you’re invested in a system (as most people who participate in forums are), switching is expensive, and inertia and familiarity are big factors.I was surprised to see so many Canon shooters drool over the Z 8 and Nikon lenses and not make the switch.
Canon's mistake was not starting with the RF mount. M wouldn't have been discontinued if it never existed. The EOS M was ten years ago.
I'm used to seeing market share numbers from NPD. Upon further "investigation" I see that NPD is now part of Circana.1 Source: Circana, Retail Tracking Service, U.S. unit sales, 12 months ending December 2021, 2022, and 2023
Closer to twelve now, I’ve already had my 10 year wedding anniversary and the M had been out for a while when I got marriedThe EOS M was ten years ago.
