Thank Maximilian. Quick FYI, next one is Spain in Aug 2026….you could catch a train.Great pics, guys.
I am so happy for you that you could get this experience and such good photos.
I remember the solar eclipse on August 11, 1999.
I was living in Stuttgart at the time and was right in the middle of totality without moving a single centimetre.
And it was pouring with rain. I was so pissed (both ways), but then I managed to catch a glimpse through a gap in the clouds.
Still, it was a unique moment.
I don't think I'll be still looking at the sky in 2081, when the next total eclipse hits Germany.
Thanks!... FYI, next one is Spain in Aug 2026….you could catch a train. ...
Very Nice! my results are many photos of clouds...A couple that I liked, though I'm not finished processing all of them.

I rather like the cloud effect. As I mentioned, we were battling cloud cover with the eclipse where outside of Austin (Texas). I was wondering if it would lead to some unique photos. I thought I had missed the diamond ring...but I have about 3 shots where I zoomed out to 200 mm on the RF 200-800 to try to capture the scene and looks like I got something close to a diamond ring...between the clouds.
I am also seeing a bit of a halo effect in the high clouds with this one framed by the lower clouds.
